Mettete insieme due ragazzi di 20 anni con la passione per la musica, che scrivono e che compongono. Che studiano grafica e filosofia. Ottenete un frullato di originalità chiamato M + A. Li hanno paragonati ai Daft Punk, a Beck e a tantissimi altri musicisti che hanno fatto la storia della musica. A loro stanno stretti i paragoni e secondo noi non se li meritano, perché? Per il semplice motivo che gli M + A, due ragazzi di Forlì, sono, sì, contaminati da altri artisti, ma suonano un genere talmente singolare e ricercato che ogni paragone sarebbe superfluo. Nei negozi di dischi  in Italia, Giappone e Inghilterra con il loro secondo disco “These Days”, Michele e Alessandro (questi i loro nomi) non producono solamente delle buona musica, ma si occupano anche dei propri Artwork, studiando delle copertine sempre curiose. Li abbiamo incontrati prima del loro live a Milano, eccoli per voi:

Come vi siete conosciuti?
Ci siamo conosciuti per pura coincidenza, suonavamo nello stesso locale, ma con gruppi diversi. Abbiamo iniziato a registrare delle cose insieme e siamo diventati amici!

Pubblicati in Inghilterra e diffusi in Giappone. Come è nato tutto ciò?
L'Inghilterra è nata grazie a un'etichetta interessata a noi all'epoca del nostro primo album. Per il Giappone invece è stato tramite dei nostri amici che sono stati subito interessati e hanno iniziato un passaparola. E' stata una cosa piuttosto veloce. 

Vi hanno paragonato a diversi Boss del mestiere tra cui Beck e Daft Punk: quale paragone vi è piaciuto e quale vi sta stretto?
Non badiamo ai paragoni, se è un paragone basato solo a favorire il Marketing, ci sta stretto a prescindere.

Come nasce una canzone degli M+A?
Prevalentemente separatamente. Uno di noi fa una bozza e la manda all'altro. Poi ci troviamo in studio e la registriamo per bene. 

Cosa fate d'altro nella vita?
Alessandro: Studio grafica in Norvegia
Michele: Studio filosofia a Bologna.

Cos'ha di diverso quest'ultimo disco rispetto al precedente?
Le canzoni e la grafica.

Dove vi piacerebbe suonare per uno Show Sold Out?
Troppo difficile scegliere! Forse il David Letterman Show.


Chi è la vostra più grande ispirazione?
Ci ispira il processo interno di un'artista: il modo in cui arriva alle cose e come ci arriva. 

Dei gruppi di riferimento?
Blur, Gorillaz, Air.

Dove vi immaginate fra 5 anni?
Al David Letterman Show.

M+A Live

Put together two boys of 20 years with a passion for music, writing and composing. Studying graphic design and philosophy. You get a smoothie originality called M + A. Compared them with Daft Punk, Beck and many other musicians who have made the history of music. M + A, two boys, from Forlì, are, yes, contaminated by other artists, but they sound so unique and sought a kind that any comparison would be superfluous. In record stores in Italy, Japan and England with their second album "These Days", Michele and Alessandro (these are their names) do not produce only good music, but also take care of their artwork, studying the covers. We met them before their live in Milan, here they are for you: 

How did you meet?
We met by coincidence, we played in the same venue, but with different groups. We started recording things together and we became friends!

Published in England and distributed in Japan. How did all this?
England is born thanks to a label interested in us at the time of our first album. Japan has been using instead of our friends who were immediately interested and started a word of mouth. It was a thing pretty quick.

How born a song by M + A?
Mostly separately. One of us write a draft and sends it to the other one. Then we find ourselves in the studio and record it in a better way

Which are the differences between this album than the previous?
The songs and the artwork.

Where would you like to play a Sold Out Show?
Too hard to choose! Perhaps the David Letterman Show.

Who is your biggest inspiration?
We inspires the internal process of an artist: the way to get things and how you get there.

Where do you imagine yourself in 5 years?
On the David Letterman Show.

Si può essere dei Biker e vestirsi con stile? Sì se il tuo nome è Vittorio Brumotti, il Fashion Biker per eccellenza. Abbiamo incontrato Vittorio nel flagship store B-Hip di Milano dove presenziava in qualità di testimonial per Chronotech, brand che ha portato dei grandi cambiamenti nello stile degli accessori dell'uomo Italiano. Insieme abbiamo parlato del senso della vita, delle sue ispirazioni e ovviamente, di stile.

Quant'è importante lo stile nella tua vita?

Per differenziarmi da tutti gli altri Biker, la mia carta vincente è stata quella di mischiare lo stile a quello che faccio. Adoperando una bici da corsa al posto di una specifica, vestendomi con l'italian style. Completando il tutto con un orologio Chronotech.

La tua scelta di essere diverso dagli altri Biker, è stata ispirata da qualcuno o è stata dettata da una tua necessità?

Il tutto è nato grazie ai miei viaggi in giro per il mondo, ho assorbito un po' da tutti... dagli Americani, dagli Arabi, dai Nepalesi, dai Giapponesi. E' bello cambiare e inventare avendo una tua personalità, che magari non è vincente, ma che almeno ti identifica.

Un posto che ti ha fortificato come persona?

Il Nepal. E' stato un viaggio che, come altri viaggi, ho deciso di affrontare in solitaria . E' stata un'esperienza toccante che mi ha fatto capire un po' di più il senso della vita. 

A chi ti ispiri?

La mia massima aspirazione è senza dubbio il Dalai Lama.

We met Vittorio in the Italian flagship store of B-Hip! where He was attending as a testimonial for Chronotech, brand that has brought great changes in the style of the Italian accessories. Together we talked about the meaning of life, his inspirations and of course, style.

How important is the style in your life?

To differentiate myself from everyone else Biker, my trump card was to mix the style to what I do. By using a road bike instead of a specific one, dressing with the Italian style. Completing all with a watch Chronotech.

Your choice to be different from the others Biker, was inspired by someone or was dictated by your needs?

Everything is born thanks to my travels around the world, I have absorbed a bit of all ... by the Americans, the Arabs, the Nepalese and also by the Japanese too. It's nice to change and invent having your own personality, that may not be winning, but at least that identifies you.

A place that has strengthened you as a person?

The Nepal. It was a journey that, like other trips, I decided to tackle solo. It was a moving experience that made me understand a bit more of the meaning of life.

Who inspires you?

My greatest aspiration is without a doubt the Dalai Lama.
