L'uomo dell'inverno 2012/13 di Dirk Bikkembergs vive in un futuro dove l'essenzialità è il punto forte del guardaroba. Sfilano quindi uomini che portano con sé il DNA storico del brand, con una consapevolezza contemporanea, a tutto tondo: la perfezione dello sportivo coincide con l'equilibrio concettuale del bello.
Vanno dunque in scena dunque giubbotti e cappotti la cui sartorialità non si nota solo dall'interno, ma è rivelata da cuciture esterne a vista, dal filo a contrasto che ne tratteggia lo scheletro.
Si incontrano in tutta la collezione giochi di multi materialità e di contrapposizioni caldo/freddo: la morbidezza del cachemire abbinata alla rigiditò di tessuti tecnici, pellami pregiati e lane ricche. C'è, par contre, una certa linearità nei colori: (non) neri, blu molto scuri, verdi fumosi. Nuance da mescolare e sovrapporre, una certezza cromatica ponderata con attenzione e minuzia.
Si avverte un richiamo al rigore cameratesco, di forme vagamente retrò rivisitate in chiave metropolitana, come gli impermeabili in gabardin e i giubbotti dalle linee severe con doppie zip e tasche interne nascostre fra due strati, perfetto bilanciamento fra aspetto formale e raffinato all'esterno e il mood più sportivo all'interno. Non mancano i giubbotti in pelle, moderne armature impreziosite dai dettagli di elezione del marchio: maxi tasche, grandi zip, inserti di lana a vista.

On show, jerkins and costwhere whose impeccable craftmanship is seen not only from the lining, but is revealed by exposed outer zips and by the contrasting thread that outlines the skeleton. Thus, the strecture of the garament becomes the basis for discreet graphic elements of deconstructed jackets, reefer jackets with a linear cut and reworked windbreakers. On the hand, there is a certain linearity in the colours: (non) blacks, very dark greens and blues, smoky greens. Nuance to mix layer, a chromatic certainty pondered thoroughly. Also, a reference to casual rigorousness, with vaguely retro shapes reinterpreted through a metropolitan style, such as the gabardine thrench coats and jerkins with severe lines, double zips, and inner pockets concealed between two layers: a perfect balance between a formal and refined external look and a sporty mood on the inside. In addition, leather jerkins and modern suits of armour enhanced by the brand's favourite details: maxi-pockets, large zips and exposed woollen inserts.
